Material matters more than you think
In winter, your feet simply don't sweat that much, but summer is a completely different story. Feet sweat heavily, shoes sit closer to the skin, and any friction or moisture build-up shows up immediately.
The result: blisters, chafing, overheated soles, and fatigue.
That's why you should look for materials that actively wick moisture away. A great example is the special four-channel fiber CoolMax®, which is water-repellent and non-absorbent. That's exactly what the Vigo sport socks deliver and they also regulate body temperature. Polypropylene works in a similar way, keeping your feet dry for extended periods no matter how much you sweat. It's also extremely lightweight, making it a perfect fit for summer runs. You can find a combination of polypropylene and antibacterial SilproX® material in the anatomically shaped Synergy socks.

Thin or padded? It depends on the route
For hot asphalt, go for thin socks that breathe like the Pius with cotton. They have a soft cuff that doesn't constrict the leg and an elastic instep band that keeps your foot firmly in place.
For longer runs or trail, you'll appreciate thicker cushioning that absorbs impact and protects your joints. That's exactly what the Integra socks offer anatomical shaping, a chainlink toe seam with no stitching at the big toe, and a reinforced terry sole.
Ankle or low-cut socks?
Low-cut socks are lightweight, unobtrusive, and you barely notice them in your shoe. They do need to fit well, though, otherwise they slip inside. The Sprinter compression socks and Aston with silver ions stay in place and protect the skin from chafing. Ankle socks are more stable and offer better protection against rubbing above the heel. If you run on trails, consider a higher cut.
Summer runs often happen early in the morning or late in the evening, when visibility is lower. For those moments, we created the Ray socks with a reflective element, available in several neon colors, with a reflective strip on the back so you stay visible on the road.

Quality socks are an investment and they're worth looking after.
Wash at 30–40 °C, ideally inside out
Keep them out of the dryer — heat breaks down elastic fibers
Skip the fabric softener entirely; it clogs functional fibers and reduces breathability
Rotate multiple pairs so they have time to dry properly
