Six Weeks at the End of the World
In January and February 2019, 13 members of the scientific expeditions at the J. G. Mendel Antarctic station and CzECO Nelson had one extra task: wearing and testing VoXX® VISION thermal socks made from CLIMAYARN merino wool. The conditions weren't exactly ideal for comfortable testing – temperatures ranged from +15 to -15 °C, the wind ripped through anything that wasn't screwed down, and the scientists had to wade through swollen glacial streams or step into the sea at -2 °C.
The result? Overall satisfaction with the product was very high. The socks earned the right to be labeled with Masaryk University's trademark „Tested in Antarctica".
